Belle
We spotted her in front of Petsmart before we even got out of the car…a little pretty white and brindle girl sitting next to a big guy with lots of tattoos [smile]. I ran up and asked if she was his. He replied, "this is Belle and she needs a forever home." We had been searching for a companion for our youngest, Isabel, who was driving our older pups a little nuts. We made introductions, and literally fell in love with Belle at first sight.
I went home and emailed Jason immediately, telling him everything he would need to know and assuring that would be a great family for his girl. Jason was very thorough in his research, as he should be! A few days later, after a home visit with Jason, Karen and Don (Belle's Foster Parents), she happily joined our pack. Today Belle is the self proclaimed 'STAR' in our house. She is an expert snuggler and demands that everyone in her presence fall in love with her immediately! It works too! She has brought so much joy to our family and her pack of rescued brothers and sisters. She's even gotten our eldest, Bailey, off the couch to play! We also found new friends in Jason, Karen, and Don. Blessings all around!
Samson....Belle's Adopted Brother
A few months later, Jason sent notification that he was picking up a beautiful blue pittie boy named Kolbi from an AL shelter. They had fallen in love with him and asked Jason to find him a forever home. I went to meet Jason's pack the day after he picked up Kolbi. His pack was AWESOME! And, then out came this big blue head with the sweetest soulful eyes that stole my heart (and the hearts of everyone else who meets him).
Jason was in a bind for Kolbi's care for the weekend because he was transporting other lucky pitties to their forever homes up north. I took him home right then. Moments after my husband met him he said, "He's not going back, right?" Needless to say, Kolbi, now Samson, joined our pack. He and Belle have a special bond. His inner puppy awakened when he joined our family. It's wonderful to watch him play ball with himself (he's quite a dribbler), or play tug-o-war. He's a real goofball and regularly climbs on top of unsuspecting canine and human family members to snuggle. It's all good!
We have been doubly blessed by Jason's efforts on behalf of these wonderful, loving, awesome pitties. Thank you, Jason!
