Host a fundraiser at work or church.
Become a foster family.
Volunteer with a rescue group.
Take good care of your own dogs.
Spay and neuter your pets. Encourage others to do the same.
Become educated about the Pit Bull and help us dispel the myths.

Friends to the Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Friends to the Forlorn does not receive any government funding, nor do we have a paid professional fund raiser or paid administrative staff. Our organization consists solely of volunteers. Our support comes directly from you and it goes directly to the dogs.

We are extremely grateful to the many people who share our love of this breed, support us in our efforts to help needy Pit Bulls, and donate their time, money and love to save these wonderful dogs.

Guidelines for Fund Expenditures
  • Provide medical treatment to needy Pit Bulls
  • Buy necessary equipment for rescuing, transporting or training
  • In special circumstances food purchases and temporary boarding of dogs up for adoption
  • Professional temperament evaluation in special circumstances
  • Transportation expenses
  • Spay/Neuter assistance
