Friends to the Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue does not have kennels or boarding facilities. All pit bulls that are rescued are either fostered to individuals, boarded at veterinary clinics, or placed in rescue shelters.

Ready to Adopt a Pit Bull?
If you are interested to adopt one of our dogs or would like to know more about some of them, please fill out an application. One of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as we receive and review your adoption proposal.

Each day Friends To The Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue provides medical care, housing, compassion and adoption services to animals in need. Your contribution means a great deal to our organization, but it means even more to the homeless animals who depend on the Friends to the Forlorn for survival. With your tax-deductible donation, Friends to the Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue can continue to make a difference in the lives of countless animals in Georgia and beyond.

Friends to the Forlorn and its volunteers are not responsible for all dogs listed on the site. Dogs must be evaluated prior to being listed for adoption. We recommend that anyone interested in adopting a dog proceed with their own temperament evaluation. The evaluation should be done by a professional or someone who understands the breed and its characteristics.

In general, pit bulls make excellent pets, but like other breeds, it's possible that some of them may have undesirable traits such as human aggression, shyness, instability, etc., due to indiscriminate breeding and/or irresponsible/abusive ownership. Animals showing human aggression will NOT be made available for adoption.

Meeting the applicant, conducting a home visit and contacting references should be standard procedure before a dog is placed in a home.
