About Nala

Nala is a 2 1/2 year old blue female pit bull.  She was raised by a family since she was 8 weeks old as an indoor dog and very well taken care of.  She weighs 60 pounds.  Nala was raised with kids, other dogs and cats and does well with all of them.  However, some of the other dogs in her home do pick on her and she is submissive to them and has been beat up on and we are assisting the family in helping her find a home that she would be happier in.  Her perfect home would be that with either no other dogs or 1 or 2 well mannered gentle dogs.  The family members should be pit bull or bully breed savy.  Her coat is soft like velvet but she does have some dry skin and does get some skin allergies with change of seasons and would probably do best on a grain free diet such as Taste of the Wild.  Nala is not much of a barker and is very well behaved with no food aggression at all.  However, around rawhide bones she is aggressive towards others and should not be fed these around other dogs.  She walks well on a leash and does very well getting her nails cut.  She knows all basic commands and is just a stellar dog with such a wonderful calm personality.

Nala is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.  She is on monthly heartworm preventative also.  Any parties interested in adopting Nala must complete an online pre-adoption form at www.homeward.petfinder.com.  We will conduct a vet reference check and if you pass that part you will be contacted to arrange an appt to meet her and do any in person adoption form and undergo an interview.  You can email any questions tohomeward@ellijay.com.  This dog is in a home in Kennesaw, GA and can be seen at PetSmart in Kennesaw on Saturday's from 11-5.  Adoption fee is $175.00.   A home visit will be required prior to adoption of Nala.
