About Seven

Seven is a 3 year old female American Staffordshire Terrier, Miniature Bull Terrier and Weimarener mix.  She had blood DNA testing done on 2/9/11 to prove her breed mix!  We rescued her from Gilmer County Animal Control where she sat pregnant, next on the list for euthanization.  She gave birth to 11 puppies on 2/2/11.  Unfortunately, Seven had some medical problems that had to be taken care of including hookworms and pneumonia - of which she is fully recovered.  Seven was spayed on 3/29/11.  Unfortunately, Seven is also heartworm positive and she had her heartworm treatment on 4/25/11 & 4/26/11.  Once her treatment is complete and she is heartworm negative she will be ready for adoption.  We are hoping that she will be ready for adoption around 6/11/2011.  She weighs 50.6 lbs.

Seven was named Seven because she was one lucky girl to get rescued.  She is sweet and loving and LOVES to be with people.  She seems to take to men more than women and she seems to do better with more submissive dogs.  However, she would probably do best as an only dog.  She loves to be outside and to run around and she loves to chew rawhide bones.  Seven would do best in a home with bully breed experience or large dog experience.  She would make a wonderful companion.

If you are interested in adopting Seven please complete an online adoption form at www.homeward.petfinder.com.  You can also email any questions to homeward@ellijay.com.  Seven is in a foster home in Buford, GA.  Once she is ready for adoption she will be spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, microchipped and started on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.  A home visit and vet reference check will be required.  Adoption fee is $175.00.
