About Buck

Buck is a very sweet and lucky male pit bull terrier. He was initially spotted on the back deck of a house in SW Atlanta by the Tails in the 'Hood crew. It was his sad and skinny state that prompted Ami to notice him. She spoke with her partner, Jason, and Tails in the 'Hood made a visit to the household. At that time we found out that Buck had been abandoned by his former owners and this family was trying their best to put weight on him, but he just wouldn't gain any weight.

A few weeks later a neighbor to this family found Buck running loose. He knocked on the door to return the dog but no one answered. So, Ami called Jason to see if we could board him at The Ark until a foster home could be found.

As it turned out Buck had a serious blockage from most likely eating garbage when he was abandoned. Thankfully he was able to pass it on his own without surgery, but the boarding fees, xrays, barium tests, heartworm test and his neuter were rather expensive. His total bill was $536.

Buck is now safe in a foster home and we will find him a forever home. If you can help all donations are tax deductible. As always your support is appreciated. He will also be looking for a forever home, so if interested in this sweet and dog friendly boy please contact us!
