Bobbie Bouchee is a very sweet and loving 3-4 yr old American Pit Bull Terrier. He was rescued from the largest dog fighting raid in US History in July of 2009. In November of 2009 after his owner pled guilty he was released to rescue and has been looking for his forever home ever since. Bobbie loves people and is very good with all dogs, though he may be too intense to be in a home with small children. He has been going to doggie day care at Pets Playhouse on Ponce and has been doing great! Bobbie does not do well being crated, but can be destructive if left alone unattended, so the crate is a necessity. He has an extra strength crate that will go with him to his new home. Bobbie would do best with someone that either works from home or with an owner that is willing to take him to doggie day care.
Bobbie has survived being fought, beaten and starved. He wants and deserves a home where he will never have to experience those things again. Because of his past he has a nervous smile that is unsettling to some, but others think it is adorable. If you’re looking for a dog that will win best smile contests, then Bobbie is your boy. Bobbie is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and housebroken. Bobbie knows basic obedience and is eager to please. Application, home check and references are required for adoption.
